Dr. Brooke Milne has been appointed as Dean, College of Arts and Science, at the University of Saskatechwan for a five-year term beginning Aug. 1, 2023.

Dr. Brooke Milne has been appointed as Dean, College of Arts and Science at the University of Saskatchewan, for a five-year term beginning Aug. 1, 2023. Concurrently, Dr. Milne will be located as a
professor with the Department of Anthropology.

Dr. Milne is currently a professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Alberta. She is an anthropological archaeologist who, for nearly three decades, has combined analytical and interpretive frameworks grounded in the social sciences (archaeology, ethnography), the natural sciences (geophysics, geochemistry, geomorphology, GIS), and the humanities (ethnohistory, oral history) to explore the long-term human occupation of the Canadian Arctic. A collaborative interdisciplinary researcher, Dr. Milne’s programs have been generously supported by SSHRC, CFI, Natural Resources Canada, Research Manitoba, and the Manitoba Research and Innovation Fund, among others.
