Research

Research Interests

My research is focused on the way in which contexts, ideas, interests and institutions interact in public policy formulation. I have published extensively on research questions related to this, specifically in health policy. My most recent work was on health policy reform in Canada. I am currently working on a research project on accountability in health care and a new book on Health Care in Alberta. I am happy to supervise students with an interest in public policy, both Canadian and Comparative. My students get published!

Current Research

Principal investigator: Accountability in Health Care, Operating Grant, United Nurses of Alberta, September 2014 – September 2019.
