Skating

On November 24th, 2020, the Government of Alberta announced new public health restrictions to protect the health system and limit the spread of COVID-19. The new restrictions will be in place starting November 27th and will last at least until mid-December.

As a result of these new restrictions, effective immediately all Rec Skate drop-in skating sessions will be cancelled for the remainder of 2020.

Drop-in Appointments (CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE)

Our usual drop-in operations have been adjusted to comply with COVID-19 safety measures:

  • Drop-in use will require a scheduled time slot.
  • OneCard (or proof of facility fee payment and registration) will be required.
  • Bring a copy of your registration with you to confirm registration.
  • You can cancel your appointment online at www.activityreg.ualberta.ca.

ATTENTION: Each participant must create their own registration account and schedule their own reservation for the time slot they choose. Please do not register the same person more than once under the same time slot as this will not complete the registration and will prevent your entry into the facility instead of guaranteeing a spot.

Additional Information for Skating drop-in:

  • Bookings can be made up to 7 days in advance.
  • Masks will be mandatory at all times, both on and off the ice.
  • Please be courteous to other users and maintain proper physical distancing at all times.
  • Please follow the direction of the Facility staff – we are all just working toward getting our facilities back up running safely for the enjoyment of all of our patrons.
  • Please show your ID or registration confirmation to the monitors in the penalty box.
  • Hand sanitizing is mandatory before getting on/off the ice.

For contact tracing reasons, every person who intends to enter the facility needs to be registered in advance. You must book each individual participant from your group in their own spot. Any participant who has not registered/paid (according to our entry list) will not be permitted entry to the facility. Remember, keep your cohort small and play within your existing cohort of friends and family.
