If you're looking to create a meaningful experience using gamification, it is useful to think about how you can not only inspire extrinsic motivation but also deepen intrinsic motivation. We do this in our course designs by building in choice, multiple attempts, providing meaningful feedback, connecting learners with each other, and clearly indicating progress.
