Year: 2nd
Degree Program: Bachelor of Kinesiology/Bachelor of Education Combined

Why did you choose the Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation for your undergraduate degree?

I've always been passionate about sports and just being active in general, so this was the best opportunity to expand my knowledge and see where I can go with it.

What is it specifically, that your program offers, that attracted you?

Being able to get a BEd alongside my BKin was definitely the determining factor. I've known since I was young that I want to teach. I mean why wouldn't I take the chance to pursue two of my passions at once?

What advice do you have for new undergraduate students?

Aside from make as many friends as possible... Take good notes and review them regularly, and start assignments closer to the assigned date rather than the due date. Imagine you're doing it for your future self! The earlier you start/finish an assignment, the more time you'll have to relax. Plus, that means you can complete it (relatively) stress-free and submit better work. Lastly, don't be afraid to reach out for help if you need it! Academically, mentally, physically, all of it.

What do you like to do for fun or relaxation?

I play lots of basketball and a little bit of football... But I also love cinema, so I watch A LOT of movies and music! I try to listen to as much music as possible across various genres.

Why did you want to choose the photos above?

This was from a photoshoot with my friend (who's a photographer) almost 3 years ago. It was a really cold day and we were looking for the "blue" bridge in Calgary's +15, which we came across by pure happenstance. Anyways, we had a great time, would recommend it.
