Why did you choose the Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation for your undergraduate degree?

I’ve always held a fascination with how the human body works and moves. In addition, I played competitive soccer for the longest time and had numerous injury’s which opened the door to me into the world of athletic therapy. I have the opportunity to learn more about both of these passions through my kinesiology degree.

What were your biggest challenges of taking undergraduate classes, how did you overcome them?

My biggest challenge was overcoming the overwhelming and intense coursework with anatomy and physiology in the first semester of my undergrad. Being able to collaborate and share in the journey and struggles with my fellow kin classmates motivated me and pushed me to do the best I can.

What advice do you have for new undergraduate students?

Learn to manage your time effectively and keep on top of things. Deadlines are always closer than they appear.

What do you like to do for fun or relaxation?

I enjoy working out, socializing with friends and playing in some of the cool intramural leagues offered by Campus & Community Recreation!

Why did you want to choose the photos above?

Winning the futsal intramural championship was a fun highlight of my first year!
