Application Process

1) Review the admission requirements, application and document deadlines
The Faculty of Nursing offers five different undergraduate programs leading to a bachelor of science in nursing. Review the Undergraduate Programs and their Admission Requirements as well as the Undergraduate Admissions and Admission and Readmission Deadlines sections of the University of Alberta Calendar.
2) Submit your University of Alberta application

Applications can be sent through the UAlberta Launchpad Portal at uab.ca/apply. You will use the Ualberta Launchpad portal to apply, upload documents (if applicable), check your application status, review checklist items and more.

For assistance with your application through the UAlberta Launchpad Portal, contact the Student Services Centre.

3) Apply to write Casper Assessment
All applicants to the Faculty of nursing are required to complete a situational judgement assessment (Casper) as part of their application. To complete the Casper assessment visit AcuityInsights.app to create an account and register. Admission cannot be offered to students until this is complete. Note: The Duet assessment is not required to apply for admission to the Faculty of Nursing.
4) Receive your U of A student ID number and Campus Computing ID
In addition to access to the UAlberta Launchpad, applicants who are new to the university will receive an email with their U of A student ID Number and Campus Computing ID (CCID). If you already have a student ID and CCID they will remain the same. Your CCID allows you to access many services, including your U of A email account and Bear Tracks. Important communications are sent to your ualberta email account, so activate it as soon as possible and check it frequently. You will need to provide your U of A student ID number for any inquiries about your application. Student Connect can assist with Bear Tracks or your Student ID/CCID information.
5) Check your To Do List in UAlberta Launchpad and submit all required documents by the document deadline

Once your application has been processed, a personalized TO DO List of outstanding items will be posted in your UAlberta Launchpad account.

Ensure you submit all outstanding items to the Office of the Registrar by the applicable document deadline(s). When submitting final official transcripts they should be sent directly from the issuing institution or applicable ministry to:

Office of the Registrar
University of Alberta
201 Administration Building
Edmonton, AB, T6G 2M7
Canada

If you are an international applicant and have questions about your required documents or are unable to have documents sent directly from your previous school, contact the Student Services Centre in the Office of the Registrar at 780-492-3113. Electronic transcripts sent directly from the issuing institution are accepted and encouraged. Have your institution send your documents to transcripts@ualberta.ca.
