Orange Shirt Day

The University-led initiative honours residential school survivors

05 October 2020

On September 20th, we wore our Orange Shirts to remember the harm caused to the First Peoples of Canada, honour residential school survivors, and recommit to reconciliation to make a better place for future generations. This day was a day to honour and remember the experiences and loss of the thousands of children who were stolen from their families and placed in Indian Residential Schools (IRS).
