This level introduces the clinical management of sleep-disordered breathing in a dental practice.
Course Overview
Summary
Dentists will receive didactic and clinical training, on examining and assessing a patient for sleep-disordered breathing, identifying and reviewing medical and sleep history, appropriate intervention selection, appropriate dental appliance selection, proper appliance delivery.
Syllabus
During OSA Level 2 the following topics will be covered:
- Case selection and treatment planning
- Sleep testing
- Anatomy review in the cadaver lab
- Selecting appropriate dental appliances and proper appliance delivery
Materials are provided.
Prerequisites
- DDS/DMD degree & active practicing license from your dental regulatory authority in Canada.
- Successful completion of OSA Level 1.
