2020 Summer Sport Camps Updates

It has been quite the journey for everyone over the spring.  We have been working with many different groups across the University to develop a return to campus plan using the Government of Alberta's health guidelines.

We have been approved to host Track & Field / Run Jump Throw camps outdoors at Foote Field.  We continue to work through the return to campus process with the intention to add more sports to our offerings for August.  We are excited to be able to deliver modified programming so that we can help kids explore, engage and excel in sport this summer.

Multi-Sport & Fundamental Movement Skills Components

Our Green & Gold Sport Camps are offered through the months of July and August. We follow the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) framework to organize and plan our programs. The LTAD Stages are used to group participants into general developmental categories by age. Along with sport-specific skills, the development of Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) and life-skills are a focus for each camp.

Multi-sport involvement throughout the development stages will support athletes' sport-specific pursuits. This process is designed to give young athletes the opportunity to systematically explore, engage and excel in a variety of sports.
