Sport Camps

The Green & Gold Sport System would like to thank all the young athletes and their families who participated in our Summer 2020 programming.

It has been a challenging period for everyone in our community and we appreciate your support through these difficult times. We will provide further updates as soon as possible on our programming plans for the remainder of 2020 and beyond, so please check this space regularly. If you have any questions in the meantime, please email sports@ualberta.ca .

Multisport Fundamental

Multi-Sport & Fundamental Movement Skills Components

Our Green & Gold Sport Camps are offered through the months of July and August. We follow the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) framework to organize and plan our programs. The LTAD Stages are used to group participants into general developmental categories by age. Along with sport-specific skills, the development of Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) and life-skills are a focus for each camp.

Multi-sport involvement throughout the development stages will support athletes' sport-specific pursuits. This process is designed to give young athletes the opportunity to systematically explore, engage and excel in a variety of sports.
