Much has been written about the distinctive role of the teacher in the Catholic school. In this presentation, Dr Coll will engage the Scottish context to address some of the challenges faced internationally by the Church and its Catholic schools regarding Catholic teacher formation—and present positive opportunities that have arisen. She will conclude by suggesting key principles for the continuation of a distinctively Catholic education and for Catholic teachers to understand their role as missionary disciples.

Presented through:
Peter and Doris Kule Lecture in Religious Education (SJC) in collaboration with the Alberta Catholic School Trustees’ Association
