Agriculture and the Environment
Aims at developing sustainable agricultural practices and avoiding or minimizing environmental contamination.

Conservation Biology
Conservation Biology is aimed at understanding how biological diversity, at various spatial and temporal scales, is affected by land use practices and human actions.

Environmental Soil Science
Water and nutrient cycling, soil organic matter, greenhouse gas emissions from soils, and the impacts of soil erosion and soil amendments on soil quality as well as forest and crop production.

International Dual Degree
A Transatlantic Master program leading to dual degrees in Forestry, Environmental or Conservation Sciences. TRANSFOR-M combines a Master's program at the University of Alberta with one of seven English-language Master's programs in Italy, Austria, Germany, UK, or Finland.
