Bridging the gap in oral health care.
Since 1992, the Radius Dental Clinic (formerly the Boyle McCauley Dental Clinic) has operated as a non-profit organization dedicated to providing oral health care to residents of Edmonton’s inner-city community. Through a person-centred approach, the clinic offers oral health care that is accessible, culturally sensitive, and judgement-free. The clinic serves as a training site, offering dental and dental hygiene students learning opportunities to gain hands-on, real-world clinical experience, fostering the next generation of empathetic, highly skilled healthcare leaders. The clinic can accommodate up to eight patients.
Breaking Down Barriers
For many patients, a standard dental office cannot accommodate the complexities of their daily lives. The clinic bridges the gap by providing a safe, supportive, and stigma-free environment for vulnerable populations facing barriers to oral health such as financial constraints, language and cultural differences, substance use disorders, trauma, abuse, and lack of oral health awareness.
