Abubakar Abdulkadir successfully defends PhD thesis

Congratulations to Abubakar Abdulkadir, who on Monday successfully defended his PhD dissertation in History, titled "The 'Emergence' of the Verse Tradition in Mauritania: Intellectual History and the Culture of Islamic Scholarship in the 'Land of a Million Poets.'" 

Dr. Abdulkadir is off to the University of Chicago Divinity School, where he will be a Postdoctoral Scholar in Islamic Studies.
