Career Services

Students graduating from our faculty take with them a wide array of transferable skills that make them highly employable in a diverse range of careers. Throughout their academic courses and required semester-long practicum, our students develop leadership, problem solving, interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills that allow them to hit the ground running as they embark on their career journeys.

Our graduates are highly motivated and passionate and often utilize that motivation and passion to pursue high-level careers such as becoming CEOs and executive directors of non-profit organizations in recreation, sport and wellness areas, founders of social impact organizations, entrepreneurs in the fitness and sports industry and leaders in ongoing research in kinesiology and recreation.

Engagement with our students and future leaders in the health and wellness, sport, and recreation industries

We offer many ways for organizations to engage with, mentor and help shape their future employees and leaders. Organizations can engage with our students in some of the following ways:

● Host a practicum placement.
● Participate in the KSR career fair.
● Host an employer information session.
● Participate in our practicum semester seminar series where we host guest speakers, mentorship sessions and panel discussions on various industry topics.
● Sponsor a guest speaker or other learning opportunity for students.
● Mentor a student.
● Hire a student by posting a job on our career platform CampusBridge.
