Curriculum

Students registered in the Internationally Trained Lawyer Pathway are considered National Committee on Accreditation Special Students and take courses for credit to fulfill NCA requirements. These credits do not lead toward a degree or diploma at the University of Alberta or any other institution.

Curriculum

Curriculum requirements are tailored to each student's NCA Assessment Report. Students may register in one or more course in keeping with the report:

  • LAW 410 Contracts
  • LAW 420 Criminal Law
  • LAW 430 Torts
  • LAW 435 Constitutional Law
  • LAW 440 Property Law
  • LAW 450 Administrative Law
  • LAW 451 Corporations
  • LAW 453 Evidence
  • LAW 456 Professionalism & Ethics
  • LAW 405 Legal Research and Writing

Students may register in a maximum of 10 courses or 35 credits (whichever comes first) within an academic year.
