Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce that Neil Dalal (Department of Asian Studies, University of Texas at Austin) has accepted the position in South Asian Philosophy and Religious Thought. Neil is jointly appointed to the Program of Religious Studies and the Department of Philosophy, which will also be his home department. He will join us July 1, 2009. Neil's research is focussed on contemplative practice in Advaita Vedanta. For Religious Studies he will teach courses in South Asian Religious thought and practice, starting with RELIG RELIG 230 Introduction to Hinduism next year.
