The Osteology Collection in the Department of Anthropology is a teaching and interpretive resource, containing more than 10,000 specimens. Representing the wide variation found in human skeletons, the collection offers an excellent resource to students and scientists studying human biology. Numerous pathological conditions and genetic anomalies are represented, which are of use to researchers studying the effects of nutrition, disease and genetics on ancient and modern populations.
