Al Gummesen

Foundation Director + Alberta Elks Foundation Representative

Alan (Al) Gummesen, has been a member of the Elks of Canada for 10 years with the Fort Saskatchewan Lodge, and he has been the Secretary-Treasurer of that lodge for the last 5 years.

Al joined the Alberta Elks Foundation at the 2023 Provincial Conference and became the Foundation Rep on the ISTAR Foundation at the same time. Al says, “This has been a learning curve [learning all that happens with the Alberta Elks Foundation] and I have always driven our Lodge to support the ISTAR programs through donations.” He is also proud to have increased his Lodges tab collection by more than 200 percent, which helps the Foundation continue its support of ISTAR.
