Hiring announcement: Director, Faculty Development, College of Health Sciences

Daryl Silzer will be joining the team as Director, Faculty Development for College of Health Sciences. In this role, Daryl will work closely with deans and faculty development leaders within the colleges’ faculties to foster relationships and enhance the planning and development of fundraising priorities and projects. With over 20 years of professional fundraising experience, Daryl is a recognized leader in fundraising for healthcare and research who excels at matching donor passions with organizational priorities to create positive impact and outcomes.  Currently the Assistant Dean, Advancement in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Daryl joined the U of A in 2017 as the Senior Director of Faculty Development (Health Sciences) and jointly managed advancement operations in the faculties of Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences (ALES), Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Rehabilitation Medicine, and the School of Public Health, in partnership with their respective deans.  Prior to joining the U of A, Daryl held senior leadership roles at the Alberta Cancer Foundation, advancing the priorities of the foundation.  He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Administration from the University of Regina.
