19 August 2021

We are pleased to announce that Julie Stephens has been appointed Director, Research Partners Network effective September 1. Julie brings a wealth of expertise and experience to this new role. She has been with the university for 30 years in numerous research administration and support roles, beginning with research technologist, then lab manager through to her most recent role—Associate Director, Research Relationships.

In her new position, Julie will initiate a new research support approach, and will be accountable for establishing and meeting innovative and efficient standards that will help foster and grow an environment that helps researchers and innovators to do their best work. The Research Partners Network will be the primary contact and go-to resource for researchers, senior academic leaders, and administrative professionals to provide strategic advice and hands-on support to over 2,600 researchers. This new Network team will help faculty members save time and energy by streamlining research administration via one-stop-shop access to Vice-President (Research and Innovation) portfolio services and resources, as well as proactive and responsive activities to address our research community’s emerging needs.

Please join me in congratulating Julie.
