Workshops
Workshops provide specialized training for AWE students who are engaged in their work search. We offer workshops on topics within career education such as skill identification, work search strategies, resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn, Interviews and transition to the workplace. These sessions will expand on the topics you learned in Individual Advising Appointments and Career Coaching, while receiving some insider tips and suggestions from some of our AWE employer partners. Some workshops will include some networking opportunities with hiring managers and alumni.
There are a variety of workshops open to all registered AWE students. There is no extra cost to attend but pre-registration is required. Contact AWE staff if you have questions or want more information.
Resume & Cover Letter for Arts Students
This workshop will help you to identify the experiences and attributes gained through your degree. You will also learn how to present these qualities effectively through the creation of a targeted resume and cover letter. You will gain the knowledge and resources needed to align yourself with a prospective employer and stand out as a unique individual.

Interview Skills Workshop
Attend this in-person session to learn (and practice) useful tips as you prepare for interviews. Learn what makes a strong interview, tips for structuring your answers and what not to do in an interview.

Interview Skills Panel
Attend this online session to hear from a panel of professionals who will share their experiences from the interview room. Learn what makes a strong interview candidate, how to tackle some of those tougher interview questions and what not to do in an interview.
