News Room

The News Room is the default news home page for your site and has a number of design options for configuring your news room.

A News Room in Cascade will automatically pull from all News Article/Post pages in the current folder and any sub-folders.

Examples of News Room pages:

Step 1: Adding a News Room

Important Note: When adding a News Room to a site, you will need to create the News Room page, save and then edit it in order to configure the News Room properly. The details below will walk you through the process.

Click the add-content-button and select News Content from the menu:

Select News Room from the next menu:

Add the basic info for the page. In most cases, because this is a news home page, the page name will be index. Also, ensure the proper placement folder is selected. Once these steps are complete, click submit and save the page.

Step 2: Configure the News Room

From the newly created News Room page, click edit-page-icon to configure any options for the News Room.

Next, select whether the page will have 1 or 2 columns.

The News Source will be the same page you are on. By clicking in the field, the Recent Files menu will show you this page first.

The next set of items configure how the page is displayed. The help text with each is self-explanatory. Keep in mind that the number of items will impact page load time and the default is 50.

The listing style changes how the stories are displayed on the page - tiles or list.

To set feature images, see the News Article page.
