It's the thirtieth anniversary of the establishment of the Department
of East Asian Studies at the University of Alberta! Please come and
join the celebrations at the following events.
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH
TALK AND RECEPTION, TELUS CENTRE, 4 - 7 P.M.
Please join us to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the
Department of East Asian Studies and the publication of _Pursuing
China_ by Brian Evans, professor emeritus of the University of Alberta
and the founding chair of the Department of East Asian Studies at the
University of Alberta. A reception will follow Professor Evans' talk
on his experiences as the first University of Alberta faculty member
in East Asian Studies. This event is co-sponsored by the China
Institute and the University of Alberta Press.
