Welcome to Fulbright Scholar Kendall Marchman

Kendall Marchman is an assistant professor in the Department of Religion at the University of Georgia. He has published research on the development of Pure Land practice and belief in medieval China as well as religious tourism in contemporary China. During his time at the University of Alberta as the Fulbright Canada Research Chair in Society and Culture, Dr. Marchman plans to research how and why various Western representations of Pure Land Buddhism have affected its status in the West.
