Professor Bouchard is a Canada Research Chair and a member of the Royal Society. In 2000, he won a Governor General Award for his book Genèse des Nations et Cultures du Nouveau Monde. His current research project is on national myth and collective imaginary.
Professor Bouchard will be introduced in English and French by Professor David Marples, Distinguished University Professor and Chair of the Department of History and Classics.
