Holiday hubbub


Congratulations to FoMD's Cesar Cebreros, Daniel Savabria, Kris Benson, Erin Casey, Travis Lee, Jizhen Zhang, Roopa Ramakrishna and Lloyd Welch from Med IT on winning 2018 bragging rights at the Dean's admin staff Holiday Luncheon Who & Where game.

Kudos are also in order for Kendra Brunt, Jacqui Mowat, and Michael Powell on winning the dean's staff Holiday Trivia game in support of our family Christmas Hamper program. Great job!


Specialty Awards

Amit Bhasvar, Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology, was appointed Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Functional Genomic Medicine.


Maya Shmulevitz, Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology, has been renewed as Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Molecular Virology and Oncotherapy.


Karen King, Department of Medical Oncology, has received a 2016-17 PARA Clinical Teaching Award.


Ken Stewart, Department of Surgery, received the Shandro Award for Excellence in Teaching Undergraduate Surgery from the class of 2018.


Reena Talwar-Povoledo and Cheryl Cable from the School of Dentistry were recognized with 2017 WinSTEM Recognition awards.
