Please join us for Knowledge Translation Canada National Seminar Series Session # 5 on Thursday, January 8th from 12:00-13:00 ET, with Lisa Dolovich.

Dr. Lisa Dolovich is a Professor and the Associate Chair, Research in the Department of Family Medicine at McMaster University. She is also an Associate Member in the Departments of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics and Medicine and a pharmacist and scientist with the Centre for Evaluation of Medicines at St Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton. One of her main research interests is the development, implementation and evaluation of person centred health care approaches within the community based primary healthcare system including best use of medications. She is the co-lead of the Teams Advancing Patient Experience: Strengthening Quality (or TAPESTRY) research program. She is also a co-lead for the Cardiovascular Health Awareness Program which has been recognized as a CIHR-CMAJ Top Canadian Achievements in Health Research Award in 2013.

Title of presentation:Teams Advancing Patient Experience: Strengthening Quality (or TAPESTRY). A paradigm shift to a person centred integrated health care delivery approach

  • To describe the 4 pillars of the TAPESTRY approach and how they weave together
  • To describe the use of community based primary care linked volunteers
  • To describe novel technology including the TAPESTRY tablet computer App and the McMaster Personal Health Record

3. KT Canada Summer Institute


The KT Canada Summer Institute will be held June 15-17, 2015 in Edmonton. The call for applications will be sent out soon. The application deadline will be March 16, 2015.

4. KT Canada Annual Scientific Meeting

5. Five-day workshop on finding and using research evidence


The winter session of the 'Finding and Using Research Evidence to Inform Decision-making in Health Systems and Organizations' workshop will be held from February 17-21 at McMaster University. The five-day training workshop will teach policymakers, stakeholders and researchers how to find and make use of research evidence in their work to reform, renew or strengthen health systems, and to get cost-effective programs, services and drugs to those who need them.
