Congratulations to Philosophy MA student Avontay Williams, recipient of the 2023 Graduate Student Association (GSA) Graduate Student Teaching Assistant Award! The award recognizes Graduate Teaching Assistants who are especially skillful and dedicated teachers at the University of Alberta. Avontay's is one of seven such awards conferred annually by the GSA. 

Avontay also won the Faculty of Arts Graduate Student Teaching Award earlier this month.  He has been an active volunteer for the Alberta High School Ethics Bowl and is completing his Master's degree in Philosophy, specializing in ethics, at the University of Alberta.
