Incident Mapping

University of Alberta Protective Services (UAPS) provides our community with up to date information regarding activity and incidents reported on our campuses.

This interactive map shows data from the last two years, with information from the previous month added at the end of the current month.

To ensure clarity and protect privacy, incidents are grouped into three primary categories. Each category represents a different aspect of public safety and UAPS' response:

  • Violent Crime: Includes offenses involving force or the threat of force against a person. These incidents are our highest priority for public safety.
  • Property Crime: Covers incidents where property is stolen or damaged without the use of force against a person, such as theft, mischief or vandalism.
  • Community Impact Behaviors: This category tracks activities that affect the quality of life and general order of our community. It encompasses reports of trespassing, public disturbances, drug use and public intoxication.
