Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine in Calgary

Did you know you can get a University of Alberta occupational therapy or physical therapy degree in Calgary?
Our synchronized distance learning technology allows our students to train through lectures and labs in Calgary and Edmonton. We also adopt teaching technology that has been proven to be effective, including simulation labs, e-learning and state-of-the-art clinical equipment.
MSc Occupational Therapy Program
The University of Alberta Rehab Med Calgary satellite is located in downtown Calgary in the University of Calgary's downtown centre. Students will enjoy studying in the vibrant community of downtown Calgary, with great views of the Rocky Mountains. With the mountains in such close proximity, there are plenty of great leisurely activities to take part in, such as skiing/snowboarding, snowshoeing and hiking. Both MSc Physical Therapy and MSc Occupational Therapy offer classes in-person and online. Many of the classes that are broadcast take place in Edmonton, but faculty may choose to broadcast from all of the campus over the course of the program. The class sizes at the downtown centre are quite small, which allows students to connect with one another (from both programs) and receive more one-on-one time with their professors.
