Access to Care Enhancement
Our goal is to develop a $1 million fund to provide much needed financial support for the development of sustainable dental care programs for vulnerable and underserved populations.
The primary purpose of this endowment is to provide support for the development and initiation of sustainable programs for provision of dental care and ultimately address oral health inequity among vulnerable and underserved populations. Initiatives may include:
- Facilitating access oral health care through University or non-University service delivery settings and timing that meets the needs of these populations
- Providing preventive care through community based outreach programs
- Raising awareness, health promotion and educational initiatives
- Capacity building through training of community partners
- Oral health care delivery personnel training that renders the service understandable and acceptable to these populations
- Providing opportunities for students to participate in care delivery for vulnerable and underserved populations
