Oral Health Community

The Oral Health Community Engagement Fund supports peer reviewed research projects directed at improving oral health of vulnerable and underserved populations. Research projects eligible for funding from this donor investment may include, but are not limited to:

  • Investigations designed to enhance the understanding of oral health issues in vulnerable and underserved groups
  • Investigations designed to improve quality, equity, relevance and effectiveness of existing oral health care delivery programs
  • Development, implementation and evaluation of new models for oral health care delivery for vulnerable and underserved groups
  • Assessment of student engagement in "service learning" care delivery programs as an approach to develop leadership in social responsiveness to the oral health inequities, challenges and priority health care needs of vulnerable and underserved people

Our goal is to raise the total endowment to $1.5 million. Based on present market conditions, we anticipate that a $1,500,000 fund will generate approximately $45,000/year that will be available for project support.
