Redesigning the Vice-President Research and Innovation portfolio
Aminah Robinson Fayek, Vice-President (Research and Innovation) introduces a redesigned portfolio structure which integrates strategic research and innovation support, streamlines research administration, and offers expanded services delivered via four Centres of Expertise.
Establishing a vision for the future of student services
Steven Dew, Provost and Vice-President (Academic), shares the new vision for the future of student services at the University of Alberta that will drive improved student experience.
Finance Services transition
As part of the Service Excellence Transformation (SET) program, some financial services are moving from Finance, Procurement and Planning to Shared Services, and contact information is changing. Learn more about how to access finance support, forms and information.
Staff Service Centre introduces phone line for support
The Staff Service Centre web page has been updated to include a phone number. This opens a new option for faculty and staff to connect with Shared Services. The Staff Service Centre team will provide information and guide inquiries to the appropriate resources. In the event the request is better suited for one of the HR or Finance Service teams, they will create a request in the service management system and assign it to the appropriate team for them to follow up with the employee. If staff are submitting a completed HR or Finance form, or have all of the information regarding their request available, the web form remains the more effective method to contact Shared Services.
