The Diwan at the Aga Khan Garden project involved the construction of a new pavilion — Diwan — that will complete and support the Aga Khan Garden and strengthen harmony with the overall University of Alberta Botanic Garden. Diwan is an all-seasons, multi-purpose gathering space for a variety of programming — creating an inviting and engaging space for visitors to attend all year-round.
Rain, snow, or shine — the Diwan can hold conferences and seminars, classes, musical performances, weddings, children’s activities and more. Apart from the basic infrastructure connections, this project was funded through philanthropic sources.
