Peace River Value Drug Mart
Peace River Value Drug Mart is an independent pharmacy that has evolved from Peace River Drug Company first established in 1916. We are proud of our place in the community of Peace River which has a population of approximately 6500 but has an extended drawing area of much larger with many acreage communities and smaller towns that surround it. Recreation opportunities in the area include boating on the Peace River, golfing as well as many hiking trails on our local Misery Mountain. In the winter we have a ski hill within town limits, a new ice arena and a field house next door to our indoor swimming pool. Peace River is also a local hub for many cultural and artistic clubs.
Our pharmacy currently has 4 full-time pharmacists and 1 part-time pharmacist. We have 2 full-time and 1 part-time registered technicians and 4 assistants that have extensive pharmacy experience. We are a busy pharmacy but feel we are well-staffed to allow our pharmacists to practice to their full scope and are able to serve our diverse patient base to the best of our abilities.
Being an independent pharmacy has allowed us to be progressive without the restrictions of a corporate head office. We are aware of the need for work-life balance and are sensitive to the professional and family aspirations of all of our staff members. We treat our employees as family and encourage everyone to work to their full potential.
We offer a wide variety of services to our community including a compounding lab, travel consultations, home health care and point-of-care testing.
