Faculty Excellence
Congratulations to Vern Glaser, associate professor and academic director for the University of Alberta's Centre for Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise, and his co-authors Neil Pollock and Luciana D’Adderio. They were awarded the 2021 James G. March Prize for their paper “The Biography of an Algorithm: Performing algorithmic technologies in organizations.”
A big congratulations to the following faculty members on their SSHRC success:
- Efstathios Avdis: Financial markets, information extraction, and artificial intelligence
- Adelina Barbalau: Financing the transition to a sustainable economy: theory and evidence

The just released 2022 Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, which is based on research productivity, has placed us #30 in the world and #1 in Canada in Business Administration!
