Why Choose the Master of Accounting?
Advance your path to becoming a Chartered Professional Accountant with a program structure designed for both academic success and professional growth. You'll complete the entire CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) — including core, elective, and both Capstone modules — within your degree through two intensive summer terms (May–August) in-person at the main University of Alberta campus in Edmonton. From September to April, you’ll have no academic commitments, giving you the freedom to work full-time and focus on fulfilling your 30-month CPA practical experience requirement. This flexible, career-focused structure allows you to gain real-world experience while staying on track to write the Common Final Examination (CFE).
