Ashley is a proud University of Alberta alumna whose connection to the U of A began in 2004 and continues today through both her work and her love for attending alumni events. She holds a BSc (General) ’09, a BSc Nursing ’12, and a Master of Education ’24, and remains deeply appreciative of the experiences and relationships that shaped her during her time at the U of A.
Ashley is a Clinical Nurse Educator at the University of Alberta Hospital, where she supports learners, leads educational initiatives, and is passionate about creating safe, inclusive spaces where people can grow and thrive. Her career path has included policy and auditing work with the Government of the Northwest Territories, bedside nursing in critical care, and leadership in health professions education.
Originally from the Northwest Territories, Ashley enjoys spending time outdoors in Edmonton’s river valley year-round. Her volunteer work supports education, engagement and professional development. She is especially passionate about fostering belonging, advancing diversity and inclusion, and helping others feel connected to the communities that have shaped them.
