I am a proud graduate of the University of Alberta! I received my Bachelor of Elementary Education degree with a minor in Special Needs in 2005. I also started and operated a small business from 2003-2020. Through my life experiences and education endeavors, I have created and maintained very positive relationships with my community.
As a teacher, I have had many opportunities to volunteer, connect and support others. I am passionate about students learning to think and care for others; to understand that when we all contribute a little, it adds up to a lot. Every year since I started teaching, I lead community fundraisers for various organizations such as, The Hope Mission, Food Bank and the Humane Society. I have also volunteered with various organizations such as, The Ronald McDonald House and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
My goal is to continue to be an active member of my community and lead with integrity while focusing on opportunities that are collaborative, and focus on service and belonging. I have a big heart, and I thrive on giving back and supporting others where I can.
In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and dog! I am passionate about fitness, health and wellness, good food and travelling.
