Book a Standardized Patient

As you are all aware the current COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on all University of Alberta operations.  Please be advised that due to the continued reduction in building occupancy, resulting building closures, limited capacity of ancillary services, and continued cancellation/postponement of a simulation activity, we have had to temporarily suspend all simulation event services, standardized patient services, licensing exam administration services, as well as access to the simulation facilities within the Health Sciences Education and Research Commons.  Unfortunately this includes the temporary lay off of all staff members who provide these services.  We are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation and work with our major stakeholders to understand the need for our services into the fall in order to minimize the impact on all users of our services and facilities.

Please direct all inquiries related to simulation event bookings, the standardized patient program, or licensing exam services to  During the temporary shut down of our services and facilities, the HSCinfo email address will continue to be monitored.   As we are working with a significantly reduced staff compliment, your patience is greatly appreciated as there may be delays in replying to your inquiry.

Thank you for your understanding.  We look forward to continuing to serve you in the fall.
