The Faculty of Law is delighted to announce the nominees of this year's Tevie H. Miller Teaching Excellence Award:

The Faculty of Law is also pleased to announce the nominees of this year's Sessional Teaching Excellence Award:

  • Lynn Parish
  • Rick Reeson

Each nominee has been invited to submit a synopsis describing their teaching philosophy and teaching initiatives.

The Selection Committee invites written comments from students, faculty and other interested persons on the strengths and skills of the nominees. You may submit your written comments on the strengths and skills of the nominees using the comment boxes found in the Student Services office and in the Dean's Suite or by email to the Dean's Assistant, Elsie Philips, at deansec@law.ualberta.ca. The deadline for receipt of comment is 4:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2012.

The Tevie H. Miller Teaching Excellence Award is awarded annually to recognize excellence in teaching by a full time member of the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta. The winner of the Tevie H. Miller Teaching Excellence Award will be invited to lead a seminar and discussion about teaching issues in the run-up to the next academic year.

The Sessional Teaching Excellence Award is awarded annually to recognize excellence in teaching by a sessional instructor who teaches at the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta.
