Edmonton Media were keen to find out the answer to the problem of the NHL lockout from visiting Professor Stephen Ross, who was at the U of A Faculty Law, as part of the Legal Forum Centenary Speakers Series 2012-2013, and spoke to a packed lecture room on the legalities of the NHL lockout

On Tuesday, October 9, 2012, the University of Alberta Faculty of Law hosted Stephen Ross, Professor of Law at Penn State Law, as part of its Legal Forum Centenary Speakers Series 2012-2013. Professor Ross' talk was entitled 'Sports Law, and the Current State of Labour Relations in the NHL'. Students, faculty, and staff from the Faculty of Law and other U of A faculties, as well as members of the general public, all crowded in to the lecture room to hear Professor Ross deliver a talk on the legal and economic analysis of the lockout currently facing the NHL. Edmonton, being a city that loves its hockey, the media hastened over to the Law Centre, keen to interview Professor Ross about the NHL lockout, to find out from Professor Ross who he thought was at fault for the NHL lockout, and how the lockout could be ended. These are two of the interviews conducted with Professor Ross at the U of A Faculty of Law:
