Kathryn Arbuckle announced as Interim Chief Librarian

The University of Alberta has announced the appointment of Kathryn Arbuckle as Interim Chief Librarian, effective March 30, 2012. Those, in the Faculty of Law, who know Kathryn will agree she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this important role.

Since 1999, Kathryn has held a joint appointment between the University of Alberta Libraries and the Faculty of Law as the Law Librarian at the John A. Weir Memorial Law Library. She has also served as Acting Head of the Rutherford Library, and is currently Acting Associate University Librarian for Collections. Kathryn has served two terms as Treasurer of the Canadian Library Association and is a Past President of the AASUA. Kathryn has been actively involved in the development of the Library's strategic plan and is committed to seeing it move forward.

Kathryn will serve as Interim Chief Librarian for up to two years.
