Join us for an inspirational evening as we celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of University of Alberta graduates, including two eminent Faculty of Law graduates and one long-time Law sessional instructor, who have brought great honour to their alma mater. Meet the award recipients at a post-ceremony reception while enjoying complimentary hors d'oeuvres and sparkling wine.

Distinguished Alumni Award
The Alumni Association's most prestigious award recognizing living graduates whose outstanding achievements have earned them national and/or international prominence.

Douglas Stollery, '76 LL.B., the general counsel of PCL Constructors Inc., is a respected lawyer and community builder who supports and promotes human rights.

Alumni Honour Award
Recognizing the significant contributions made over a number of years by University of Alberta alumni in their local communities and beyond.

Alexander Pringle, Q.C., '68 B.A., has served as a sessional instructor at the U of A Faculty of Law for over 25-years, and is recognized as one of Canada's preeminent criminal lawyers.

The Honourable James Wheatley, Q.C., '68 B.Ed., '71 LL.B., was appointed to the Provincial Court of Alberta as a judge in the Criminal division in 2003, and is currently serving as the Assistant Chief Judge in the Criminal Division in Edmonton.
