Student awards enabled by generous grant from ALF for 2014/15 academic year

The University of Alberta Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that thanks to a generous grant from the Alberta Law Foundation, the law school is able to offer the following awards to its students for the 2014/15 academic year.


Alberta Law Foundation Low Income and the Law Course Grant - 3 awards of $2000.00 each

Will be awarded to the top 3rd year students in the Low Income and the Law Course

These Awards will be included in the Spring Prizes & Awards Application 2015. Watch for an email in mid -March 2015.


Alberta Law Foundation Family Law Grant - 4 awards of $1000.00 each

Will be awarded to the top 2nd or 3rd year students completing courses in family law or closely related disciplines

These Awards will be included in the Spring Prizes & Awards Application 2015. Watch for an email in mid- March 2015.


Alberta Law Foundation Legal Service Grant - 4 awards of $1000.00 each

Will be awarded to 1st or 2nd year students who complete summer employment with a poverty law clinic, legal aid or other non-profit government agency providing legal services to low income or other disadvantages or marginalized persons

These Awards will be included in the Fall Prizes & Awards Application 2014. Watch for an email in mid- July 2014.


Alberta Law Foundation Bursaries - multiple awards to a maximum of $4000.00 each totalling $272,000.00

To be awarded to Faculty of Law students based on financial need and who are residents of the province of Alberta.

These Awards will be included in the Fall Prizes & Awards Application 2014. Watch for an email in mid -July 2014.
