Lecture by Dean Paton to GALD Spring 2015 Cohort

Dean Paton welcomes China's Global Academic Leadership Development representatives to the Faculty of Law.

On Tuesday, May 12, 2015 - Dean Paul Paton welcomed a group of 35 senior-level university administrators from China. Representatives from 29 universities are currently visiting the University of Alberta, participating in the GALD (Global Academic Leadership Development) program to learn about the various programs offered at the University of Alberta. During the two hour lecture - participants learned about the University of Alberta, Faculty of Law program - in particular - Legal Education in Canada, Paths to Licensing and Practicing in Canada, Regulating Legal Education, Articling/Experiential Learning, followed by a Q&A at the end of the lecture.

Several participants expressed interest in learning more about our program and developing relationships with the Chinese universities as well as promoting the UAlberta Law Faculty's program to universities in China.
