The Faculty of Law is very proud to announce that, once again, Professor Peter Sankoff has had the distinction of being cited by the Supreme Court of Canada. In the very recent case of R v Tatton, 2015 SCC 33, the Supreme Court revised its approach to defining the offences for which intoxication will be available as a defence based, in part, upon Peter's co-authored text, Manning, Mewett & Sankoff, Criminal Law, 4th ed.
Peter is hard at work on final revisions of the 5th ed. of this text which should be published by Lexis Nexis Canada in August of this year.
