Professor Joanna Harrington Publishes a Guest Post with U.S. Blog "Lawfare"

Part of a series of blogposts on international law and armed conflict.

Law Faculty Communications - 10 September 2015

One of the leading international law blogs in the United States has published a guest post by University of Alberta Law Professor Joanna Harrington on the role for international human rights bodies in the field of international humanitarian law (also known as the law of armed conflict). Harrington's blogpost is part of a series to be published over the next few weeks as part of an online symposium cohosted by three influential blogs - Lawfare (a leading U.S. blog on national security law published in cooperation with the Brookings Institute), Intercross (the blog of the International Committee of the Red Cross), and EJIL Talk! (the blog of the European Journal of International Law). Adapting legal publishing to the instantaneous nature of modern technologies, the three blogs invited seven academics from both sides of the Atlantic to contribute to an online transatlantic dialogue, with Professor Harrington's blogpost being the second in the series of six posts.
