Law Students for Inclusion & Diversity Host Multicultural Luncheon

Student group celebrates diversity through global cuisine.

Law Communications - 30 March 2016

On March 24, University of Alberta Faculty of Law student group Law Students for Inclusion & Diversity (LSID) hosted a noon-hour event on the second floor of the Law Centre to celebrate multicultural cuisines from around the world. Faculty, staff, and students were invited to sample more than 20 different types of food, including perogies, spring rolls, vegetarian paella, Saskatoon berry pie, and Japanese honey cake.

LSID was pleased with the turnout and plans to host a similar event next year with profits going to a local charity. LSID is dedicated to fostering inclusion and diversity in the legal community through awareness, advocacy, and community involvement. The group seeks to educate people about the ways in which social and cultural awareness can impact the practice of law.
